I have had many questions coming in on this topic, and I do not think I have enough material to make a whole class, so I figured a blog would be appropriate.
If you are here looking for me to tell you if you should vote, then please close the blog and carry on. My purpose is not tell you what to do. What I will do is present some information that you can use to make a decision for yourself. You see we are not in the same position. You do not know what I know and I do not know what you know. Our standing is different. You may present the argument that you do not intend to vote but rather elect. So we will talk about that as well. So, I can not speak for you. What I will do is share with you the information that I have used in my decision making process. #1 What does the constitution say about voting or electing. Cornell Law on the 14th Amendment and voting. Remember the tenth amendment. "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to eh states are reserved to the states respectively or to the people." #2 What does your state constitution say about voting and electing? I lay my head every night on Ohio, and so it is the state I know best. I encourage you to look up the constiution in your state. In Ohio it says in Article 5 section 1 "Only a citizen of the Unites States, of the age of eighteen years, who has been a resident of the state, county, township or ward, such time may be provided by law, and has been registered to vote for thirty days, has the qualifications of an elector, and is entitled to vote at all elections. No person who lacks those qualifications shall be permitted to vote at any state or local election held in this state. Any elector who fails to vote in at least one election during any period of four consecutive years shall cease to be an elector unless the elector again registers to vote." So with all of that in mind i-am not a resident of the state, county, township or ward. My PERSON may be, but i as a living woman am not. With that in mind i have chosen to not be an elector in my state. When there is a de jure election i may choose to make my election, but not until then.

Loved your blog and agreed 100% I will only participate when there is a De Jour election. Will not waste my time in anything that is already decided!
